For the past five years I have worked as a Cinematographer/Camera-woman in the media industry and now I would like to focus more on my own projects. I trained at the National Film and Television School for two years under the guidance of some of the best Cinematographers in the world, these include Brian Tufano (Billy Elliot,Trainspotting, Blade Runner, Shallow Grave and Quadrophenia), Billy Williams (Gandhi, On Golden Pond and Women In Love ) and Sean Bobbitt (12 years A Slave, Shame, A Place Beyond The Pine and Hunger). By having had the opportunity to be taught at the National Film and Television School really helped me focus on the importance of storytelling and communicating with an audience. I graduated in 2011 with an MA in Cinematography for Film and Television and since then I have been working freelance.
As a Cinematographer, films I have worked on have gone on to gain incredible success. This includes a Documentary/Animation film "Abuelas" which brings to life the true story of the Grandmothers of the Plaza de Mayo. "Abuelas" received a BAFTA 2012 Nomination for Best Short Animation and was showcased by The British Society of Cinematographers at their annual "New Cinematographers" night at The Apollo. To date the film has won over 70 awards and has been screened at over 170 festivals World wide. A recent review of the film stated that my work was "visual beautiful".
I have worked for many major broadcaster including Al Jazeera, Channel 4, BSL Zone and The Community Channel and many many more. I have worked on projects for the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, Vodafone, Mondelez UK, the NHS and Mike Stock who was apart of Stock Aitken Waterman. I have enjoyed working with people from different backgrounds and I have found the experience very fulfilling, but now I wish to pursue other projects that are closer to my heart. I deeply care about whats happening in the world around me and my work will now follow this path. Here are examples of my work as a Cinematographer and Equipment List
